Foamcube is a 5-axis open source CNC hotwire foamcutter. It was first conceived by Pete Scheepens / Fablab013 in the summer of 2014.
In 2015 a succesful kickstarter campaign made it possible to ship out the first 50 units worldwide. Foamcube has been sold and improved ever since.
Currently Foamcube is at Version 3.0 and is powered by arduino.
It has 5 independent axies and runs on standard Gcode.
Foamcube can run directly off of SD card without the need for a computer.
An online gcode manipulator is in the works to transform simple 2D gcode into 2.5/3 D rotational code.
